The Business Management Program equips students with the leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced business environment. Students explore how organizations operate, how teams function, and how managers plan, organize, and lead. This pathway is ideal for students interested in careers in management, entrepreneurship, human resources, administration, project leadership, or business operations.

Highlights

Students begin with Foundations of Business Communication and Technologies, establishing essential communication and productivity skills used across all business settings. As they move into the program, students take Business Communication and Technologies, which is also available as a dual credit option for those seeking college-level experience. At Level 3, students advance to Business Management, gaining insight into management principles, organizational behavior, and leadership practices. The capstone experience is Practicum in Business Management, where students apply their knowledge in real or simulated business environments by managing projects and solving workplace challenges.

Throughout the sequence, students have opportunities to earn valuable credentials such as the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Ready Certification, which demonstrates readiness for leadership and project-based roles. Students who began the program at the Pre-Level in middle school may also benefit from opportunities for CCMR credit and Level 3 exam exemptions.

Benefits & Educational Outcomes

Students develop strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and project management skills that translate across every sector of the workforce. They learn how to analyze business problems, manage resources, and make strategic decisions, preparing them for roles in business administration, management, marketing, and entrepreneurial ventures. The program supports college and career readiness by blending professional communication with hands-on management experience, helping students build confidence and competency as emerging leaders. With industry certification opportunities and CCMR alignment, students leave the pathway well-prepared for postsecondary business programs and future managerial careers.
