Flex Scheduling Program

Flex students will primarily spend their instructional day learning self-paced (asynchronously) online through Texas Promise Academy, with the option to participate in select on-campus opportunities and courses. Students may take one to three in-person classes at their designated Klein ISD campus. These may include Athletics, Fine Arts, Career and Technical Education (CTE), or other elective offerings that require on-campus participation.

1. Tuition-Free option since flex courses are scheduled as part of the student’s instructional plan. Pending TEA approval.
2. All online coursework will be taught by Texas Promise Academy teachers.
3. Students may travel to and from their Klein ISD campus for in-person classes based on individual schedules.
4. Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from campus for Flex classes.
5. Students must adhere to all expectations outlined in the Klein ISD Student Code of Conduct while on any district campus.
6. Per UIL policy, TPA students (full-time virtual or flex) are only eligible to participate in athletics at the Klein ISD campus for which they are zoned.
7. Program offered for students in grades 6–12.
