School Description

Klein, Texas—Welcome to Strack Intermediate, home of the Cougars and a Klein ISD Triple AAA campus excelling in academics, arts, and athletics. Located at 18027-S Kuykendahl Rd., Klein, TX 77379, Strack pairs high expectations with a welcoming, student-centered culture so every learner enters with a promise and exits with a purpose.

A Culture That RISEs
Cougars live the core values of R.I.S.E.—Resilience, Integrity, Self-discipline, and Empathy—with a campuswide commitment to “RISE 2 Championship Level Excellence.” These values shape classrooms and hallways where character and scholarship go hand in hand, and where students are known by name, strengths, and needs.

Challenging Academics With Real Options
Strack offers a robust menu of pathways that help students build momentum for high school and beyond. Learners engage in Klein Prep aligned to Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and International Baccalaureate expectations; accelerate through Algebra, Geometry, Biology, and Humanities; explore Career and Technical Education; and even earn high school credit while still in intermediate school. With the district’s 1:1 Connected program, every student uses a laptop to research, collaborate, and create—extending learning beyond the classroom.

Arts, Athletics, and Activities for All
From curtain call to championship point, Cougars have countless ways to shine. Fine arts include orchestra, band, choir, theatre, and art. Competitive options span football, volleyball, basketball, track & field, cross country, tennis, swimming, and cheer. Students also connect through clubs and organizations such as Guitar Club, Memory Book Club, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Destination Imagination, Name That Book, Pentathlon, and Robotics—with many more opportunities to lead and serve.

Awards That Tell Our Story
Strack’s track record reflects both heart and high performance: Culture 4 Caring Campus of Distinction (2022–2023); Promising Practice School by Character.org (2021); Young Sheldon STEM Initiative Grant Winner (2023); 2nd Place National Academic Pentathlon—7th Grade (2022); and 3rd Place National Academic Pentathlon—8th Grade (2022). These recognitions underscore a campus that nurtures character, celebrates creativity, and champions academic excellence.

Partners in Every Student’s Success
Families are essential teammates at Strack. Parents can volunteer on campus and join the Parent Teacher Organization, while students discover their strengths in classrooms, labs, studios, stages, and on the field. Together, we build confident learners and compassionate leaders ready for high school and beyond.
