Why Families Choose Northampton
Families are drawn to Northampton’s welcoming spirit—from front office staff who greet every family with warmth to classrooms alive with curiosity and creativity. Our campus offers robust programs designed to meet learners where they are and help them soar, including an exceptional Gifted and Talented program, Two-Way Dual Language, STEAM opportunities, Coding Club, Destination Imagination, Choir, Percussion, and more. Northampton is proud to be home to multiple KEF grant-funded STEAM initiatives, a Leadership Academy, intentional character lessons, and positive office referrals that celebrate students for making strong choices. These daily rhythms create a school culture where learning feels exciting and students feel deeply connected.
Biliteracy That Opens Doors
Northampton proudly offers Klein ISD’s Two-Way Dual Language Program, a biliteracy model that integrates native Spanish and native English speakers in a shared learning environment. From Kindergarten through 5th grade, core instruction is delivered 50% in Spanish and 50% in English, allowing students to develop bilingualism, biliteracy, and sociocultural competence. Dual language learning is intentionally connected to STEAM instruction, where students collaborate, problem-solve, and communicate across languages—skills that prepare them for middle school, future careers, and a global world.
Character, Creativity, and Critical Thinking
Northampton’s commitment to the whole child is visible in every learning space. Character Education, the TEKS, and Klein ISD’s Profile of a Learner guide daily instruction alongside hands-on STEAM experiences that encourage inquiry, design thinking, and perseverance. Each elementary campus is supported by a school counselor who partners with students, staff, and families to nurture academic growth, emotional well-being, and goal setting. We intentionally grow both skills and heart, ensuring students develop empathy, integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose.
A Triple AAA Experience
As part of Klein ISD’s **Triple AAA promise—Academics, Arts, and Athletics/movement—**Northampton ensures every Colt experiences a well-rounded education. Students participate campuswide in music, art, physical education, and movement-based learning, while also engaging in STEAM integration across content areas. Performances, showcases, design challenges, and campus traditions give students opportunities to create, perform, move, and celebrate their learning with pride.
Clubs, STEAM, and Leadership for Every Interest
Northampton offers meaningful opportunities for students to explore passions and develop leadership. Programs such as Destination Imagination, Coding Club, Name That Book Club, Culture for Caring, Choir, Percussion, Safety Patrol, and Art Club empower students to innovate, collaborate, and serve. With caring adult mentors guiding them, students learn to think critically, work as a team, and lead with confidence.
